My name is Maria I was born on June 28, 1968 and I live in the countryside around Certaldo (Florence), in a small town – Betto – where my family has been present for three hundred years!
My great passions, since childhood, are two: love for the countryside and art history (love at first sight!). The passion for art history allowed me, in 1995, to graduate in Art History at the University of Siena. The desire to convey to others the beauty, value and meaning of the enormous heritage of the area where I live has led me to become a Tourist Guide.
In 1998 I became a Tourist Guide for Siena and its province; this will be followed – 2004 and 2006 – by the qualifications for Florence and Pisa.
The love for art has always been in me alongside the love for the countryside in which I was born and raised: in 2009 I became responsible for the small family business where the olive tree – extraordinary plant! – lives with the vine.
